What happened to our autistic lady?
« on: June 26, 2015, 10:40:22 AM »
Saw the thread on my fone out in the shop, and thought I'd reply. Did she pull it?

Search for "HardAspie", her threads are still around, just off the front page.

I hope so , Laura is a hoot  She indicated to me that she felt at home among us , er , well ... eccentrics

Oh, I see what happened now. My fone was on an old thread and I didn't realize it. Still being drug kicking and screaming into the 20th century..

Not really, Dawg.. You might call me an early adopter. My first computer programming was Gotran and Fortran on a freakin Univac in the early 60s. (!!) 16K IIRC, and the size of my kitchen. Maybe bigger, come to think of it. I had a cnc milling machine in my (wood heated)  shop in the mid 80s. That was before the GM company I worked for had one.
I've just never seen the need for a smart fone until we got fed up with our land line, turned it into a cell line and have Google voice ring our two cell numbers.. for free. Saved 35 bux a month, and have more reliable service. (Guzzi content) It means I have to carry a fone around, though. Yuck.
That said, <Luddite/1>I don't wan no steenkin computer telling me how much throttle to apply or how much brake to use. To me, that is much of what motorcycling is about. I don't need it, don't want it. <Luddite/0>

Howdy Hi!

I am still here to plague you good people. The week got out of control. If the week had been a bike, I would be in considerable pain right now. This is probably one of the reasons I like motorcycles; they are far more easily controlled than is life. I hope ya'all have been well and happy!

Life is like riding a bronco. Hang on, give it the spurs, and hope you make it to the buzzer.

A long eight seconds!

Hey...I owned a Mold Wing once and found riding it a lot like hanging onto a bull. Where it wanted to go did not always agree with my desires, and it shook its head; rather a lot.
