Anybody know off-hand which of the Tonti frame Guzzis was the lightest in stock form?
Thanks,

I will take a guess at the original V7 Sport red frame (chrome moly frame, no signal lights and the small starter motor) followed by the standard production V7 Sport but the Le Mans first generation with the plastic side panels and fender may weigh less than a V7 Sport by a pound or two. I think the triple discs added more weight over the drum brake machines.

I'm confused by the weight specs I see in online publications. Dry weight of my 74 850T is about 530 lb, and I have trouble believing that a T3 is lighter (spec is 510 lb) given the three heavy brake rotors, floorboards etc. I've heard of Tontis stripped down to 460 lb or thereabouts and would be interested to hear how that's done without going full cafe.

Interesting point about the cast wheels on LM 1/2/3, SP. The crooked spoke FPS wheels are boat anchors. Are the straight spoke type any lighter? Maybe an option in order to drop a few lbs if they were...
