Off like a prom dress

Vacation here at last , getting the cali ready to blast off north of the border with wifey for an eight day ride through Canada,N.S., Cape Bretton and PEI. Hope all of you have a great 4th weekend and get some riding in as well. Will try to get some pic's to share when we return. Last summer I took my daughter up and wished we had taken photo's of all the beautiful small town wooden churches, I hope to capture as many as we can this time but I am not a great picture taker like my daughter is,I'll do my best. I dont understand the reference, maybe your prom ended up differently than my prom did.

We were not allowed a prom. Our school board was dominated by Church of Christers. Everybody talks about Baptists, but in our part of AR, it was Church of Christ that were fundamentalist. Our Baptist church was very community oriented.

Anyway, Lucian, have a great trip, I hope the weather is delightful.

Prom or not, dresses seem to come off, as Christians of all denominations seem -- thank God in all sorts of reverent and not ways -- to procreate just fine.

Back in our prom days an older 25 year old buddy was dating a high school gal who was 17. Her dad was very disapproving. Prom night came and sure enough he took her. When he brought her home dad was there to open the door and invited him in for a nightcap. He was puzzled by the sudden invite after being persona non grata. They went in and sat on the couch, dad gave him a beer and started quizzing them on the evenings festivities. After a while sitting there looking at his girlfriend he realized her dress was on inside out.    excused himself as quickly as possible and exited the interrogation chamber with a flushed face. They were married 2 years later.
