Always wanted to stop and see what was in this building!  So today, when we were heading down to ohiorider's territory,  I decided to stop and snap a few pics.  You can see the NTX lurking in the background.....  Sorry for the bad quality..

Love old dirt bikes. Tks  for posting.

Wonder if that KTM is old enough to have had  "PENTON"  written on the tank.

Love the BSA B50 MX .

That would be your round barrel 441 (B44).  Ugh!

I think so. Tank looks earlty '70s/fiberglass. It looks to me like it has Ceriani forks ala Penton vs the Marzocchi forks usually found on KTMs.

I learned to ride on my older brothers (14 years older than me) '69 Penton 125 steel tanker. The radial fin head and cylinder was as big as the cylinder and head on the 490 Maico he was riding in the early 80s. My dad just sold the Penton to a collector back east. Both of my bothers, my sister and my dad (and mom behind dad once) spent time on that old Penton. Lots and lots of memories.

The B50 was round barrel also , although you may be correct . Gotta disagree on the "ugh" part , always thought they were lovely motorbikes , but then Jeff Smith is a hero of mine

Well, I woulda thought the B50 was a square barrel like the later B44s, but a google search shows you are right and my mammaries are faulty.   :boozing:  However, that bike has a tank very similar to that on my 441.

The poor thing had been totally abused, refused to start hot and was a treacherous companion, yet somehow I got to like Brit singles and now have two Ariels... weird.

My 441 was evil.  I sold it to a guy named Steve King.  I think "Christine" was based on real-life experiences with that bike.  But nobody would believe a BSA could be that malignant, so he made it about a car instead.
