Transmission Drain Plug - 2011 V7C

Hey guys
I'm going to swap out the Transmission fluid on my V7 this weekend and was wondering if there is a trick to removing the drain plug? It looks like a pretty tight space, and I'm not sure the plug will fully remove with the crossover pipe there.
Also, dealer didn't have any AGIP 85W90, but sold me Motul 80W90 that they have been using. Any issues with this fluid?
Thanks!

I've never bothered with that. There is room enough to remove the plug (with an open end spanner) - be careful of burning your skin on the exhaust (long sleeves help) - the hot oil spills over the crossover & into the dish. Be sure to wipe the crossover down well or you get the smell of burnt oil once you re-start. If it worries you, later you could get hold of one of the smaller crossovers as made by Agostini Mandello or Stucchi.
Good fun, isn't it?

Not always Mal. It varies from bike to bike. If you're lucky the header/crossover will of been constructed in such a way you can get the plug out. On others you can't and need to swing the pipe out of the way.
