Dead Racoon at the side of a busy city street made into a drama scene.

Toronto City Animal Services dept rush into action. Not!  How long does it take?!

Great pics!

Well, probably going to piss-off a bunch of people here; oh well. According to my SO I am talented that way.
Sentient beings deserve higher level of respect than the folks who displayed their 'creative humour' and 'social comment' at expense of this animal. In the north, we apologize for taking a life ... before we eat it. We have social rules about wasting the value of lives taken.
Were that an FLH owner's cadaver on the floor: would all the humour hold the same edge? ... yeah: it's just a Harley guy.

Most likely that raccoon died of distemper, a not uncommon occurrence around here. Anyone who wants to eat it is more than welcome; personally I wouldn't touch it. Besides, I much prefer beaver  :thumb:

A few years back, I had one pass away underneath my summer cottage. By the time I noticed, there wasn't anything worth disposing of, so I left him there. Used to freak the kids and grandkids out some fierce. My daughters claimed they couldn't sleep some nights with him right underneath. But he finally moved on a couple of summers ago when I had the foundation re-built. The contractor had a good laugh, or so he claimed, when he crawled underneath to look around and came face to face with Rocky grinning at him.
