Hacking a 1982 CB900C with a Velorex 552 chair
« on: July 24, 2015, 08:02:03 PM »
I have a CB 900 and a chair I want to put on it.  I have the Clymer GL1000/GL1100 manual with hacking info. I know there are several here with hack experience. Where would I find the clamps to attach it, and what monsters lie in wait in doing this job??  All HELPFUL  suggestions welcomed.

I seem to remember that the 900 Honda has a high low transmission which will make it an excellent choice for a tug.

I think it needs to be a 900C (also the 1000"C") to get the shaft drive and dual range tranny.
Outstanding bikes either way.

Yes, it does have a dual range tranny and shaft drive.

The United Sidecar Assoc has a website with lots of info. The manuals by Hal Kendall are worth a look (and free!)

Matt.. be prepared to drive a machine that is nothing like a car or motorcycle. Take some training before getting brave, or you'll die. Just sayin..
There are some reflexes that a motorcyclist needs to unlearn to safely drive a rig. That said, they are a hoot..
