Have a space that needs a shower and sink. Sink could gravity feed to drain but shower would be iffy. Thinking about using a gray water type pump like sani-shower or something like that. Figured someone here might have bathroom in a basement or something like that. Any experiences?

is this in your house or like a 'beach shower' in the workshop or cabin?
can you build up the floor, put a receptacle under with a sump pump?

House. I could build up using a 2x6 frame and thought about using this:

yeah I've done this but it is sure not to "code". Just ran the drain into a 5 gallon plastic bucket and used a small (smallest I could get) sump pump to pump it up and out into a standard drain. Has been working well for several years and I check it often and add a little bleach now and again to control the nasties......

My basement was built with the downstairs shower, sink, toilet dumping into a covered sump with a solids pump/check valve into the septic line. Pretty common in new construct. Old retrofit might be more of a chore

Ok, going to give it a shot. I'm going to start it as a gray water shower with a valve that can later go into drain for regular out to sewer arrangement. Ideally, gray water would be best since we have no rain here anyway.
