Setting TPS and throttles

OK...
I just adjusted my valves on my 2004 v11 café sport to .006 and .008
ALL where tight...
Bike now idles more steady but the idle seems a little low 700-750 rpm
Does anybody have a step by step procedure on how to adjust the TPS and set the idle? pics included?
PS I have a power commander installed... PO had it done when he had the engine built...
Mike rich heads and valves, megacycle cam, mike rich pistons, etc.

I have the same bike. I use the J C Whitney vacuum gauges and balance at 3000 RPM. Use the left TB to set Idle with the right TB screw not in contact with the plate tang. It may take some carb cleaner to clear the idle mixture passages-they get a bit dirty over time. One turn out from seated. Re-check the TPS for 150mV with the balance rod connected. Idle should be 1200 or so. If not, adjust the left TB idle set screw and re-check the TPS. Back and forth...... Should take a few to get right.(Beers that is)
I would be interested in your butt dyno results with the PC and without. I'm using the Euro Titanium ECU map installed via the most excellent program called Guzzidiag. Bumping the Idle Fuel trim to +20 cured the 3000 rpm surge/stumble. She is a beast. Smooth and strong.

The only adjustment you make to the TPS is to set it for 150 mV with the throttle butterfly fully closed.
Make sure it's not being held open by the linkage, after that you don't move it again.
The mV at idle is just a function of how far you open the butterfly to reach idle speed.
I tend to set my idle speeds on the low side of 1100 to get good engine braking.
If you don't have vacuum gauges a home built manometer is just as good and more accurate.
Use engine oil as a fluid, it gives good damping and won't do any harm if sucked in.

here's a step-by-step that applies to a couple of different model Guzzi's, but everything pretty much will apply as well to the V11 Sport
