Centerstand for a Breva 750

Unfortunately I posted this first on the Swapmeet site which was the wrong thing to do. 

Can anyone tell me if a centerstand is available for a Breva 750?  If so, where does it mount?  Are there fittings already on the frame?  And how does the bike balance on the C. S.?  My old BMW F650 required 70# of rocks and water in a bucket on the rear rack to lift the front tire.  Lot of good that does on the road if you need to get to the front tube.  Mel replied that I should try Agostino Mandello.  Any other suggestions?

Guzzi doesn't balance their centerstands like BMW does.  On Guzzis, the front will be heavy.

That's the problem with BMW F650, the front is heavy, by about 70#.  So the Breva C.S. balances with the rear wheel in the air?  Jurgen

I only recently thought to counterweight my bike to make the front end easier to lift. A milk crate loaded with chain on the luggage rack makes the front end easy to lift with one hand while I put a spool under the front of the engine. Works like a charm.

Yes.  Rear wheel in the air, but surely not 70-lbs on the front.  Still, you'd need a tiedown or help to remove the front wheel with the Guzzi on its centerstand.

I just lift the front wheel(easy), put  1 gal. paint can w/2x4 on it under the motor sump and you're good to go.

I've a centerstand on my 09 V7 and it uses the factory mounts w no problem.  I believe Guzzi is still using the Breva frame for that series, so your should fit without a problem.

The stand is very close to the balance point, so all is good.  I don't think mine is a factory stand, but from one of the major accessory shops (Hepco, etc).

I had a centerstand on my 2004 Breva - so I would expect they can be found still.

Centerstand is the same for all V7's up to the V7-II and probably that as well but I'm not certain. Baby Breva is same motorbike basically.

But the Brevas have 17" rims.   Don't all the V7s have 18" rims?

I have a centerstand on my Breva 750.  It works very well and is easy to use.  It fitted right on.

Yes, but the tyre profiles make it an irrelevance.

I put a center stand on my 07 Breva 750 following excellent illustrated instructions found by googling "Moto Guzzi Nevada Center Stand Installation" Reportedly, the frames for both Nevada and Breva are the same.  The CS when installed has a slight forward weight bias. 

This is an easy job, but note the stand comes with no instructions and some minor filing was necessary to get it to fit.  So have a really good, sharp metal file handy for the job.  Also AF1 will answer questions on the phone to assist you.  Fitting the stand springs takes some thinking...I came up with a solution which made it easy. I think its posted on this site, but send an email if you wish to discuss.

You'll find the stand works easily and well...I never understood how one can enjoy a bike with out a CS.
