I'm always praising the 2v 1200 Sport, and though I don't 'diss' my Griso 8vSE, I'm sort of bitchy about it (her.)
Today, I took the Sport for a 40 mile to-breakfast ride, and was about to continue my ride, when I needed to stop by home for some forgotten item. Eyeballed the lovely Tenni Green Griso with the extremely complementary two-tone brown saddle, and decided to switch bikes for the remainder of my ride.
The little Griso ran beautifully! What a quick little bastard it is! And, since I've begun setting tire pressure to the factory recommended setting, vs the typical 36 front, 38 rear I run on the Sport, life got better. I think factory settings for the Griso are in the range of 33 psi front, 36 psi rear. Much more compliant. If they wear faster, well, that's how it is. Pick a road with a bad surface ..... , give me the Sport, or better yet, the R100GS. But today .................. , I picked the right bike and the right roads, for surface condition vs surrounding scenery. Though here in NE Ohio, there's lots of good scenery.
Overall, lovely ride, lovely bike.
I often contemplate selling or trading the Griso because it seems too narrowly-focused. But today was one of those special ones, where it all comes together, and you are one with the machine. And it seemed impossible to contemplate selling the lovely Tenni Green machine.

Pic from July, 2012. Taken at end of ride from Dahlonega GA to Hudson OH. She looks as good to me today as back when.
