Thanks for the reminder, I was dismantling the Tiger :bike-037: amazing the stuff you have to take off to get to the spark plugs!

All tuned in. What do you think of my Italian IPAD holder?

If the Kawasakis are getting dialed in on the half miles , the XR 750 is history . Bryan Smith looked tough tonight , and the Triumph is finally in good hands .

It was a terrific race even though #10 didn't make it into the finals.  It's remarkable how the details of setup and pre-race strategy determine the outcome of a race.   Anyway, the Ducati looked good, but just didn't get it done.  In the finals, Smith had a plan and stuck to it from the outset.  Most of the others came round to his way of thinking in the end (stay high).  I imagine my lungs are now covered in red dust.  That's good for you, right?  It's a good track for the spectator and the participants.  I hope they keep it on the schedule.

You might be right about the XR 750, but it has had a good run since 1970. Hopefully Harley will continue to develop the new 750 engine for racing.

and this

http://www.manningrivertimes.com.au/story/3316329/bad-break-for-bayliss-at-australian-championships/

The MX Open final saw Bayliss take home third place, again behind Richards and Brody Nowlan.

His final shot at glory came in the pro 450 final where he found himself chasing young guns Robbie Menzies-Sargant and Jarred Brook. While trying to go around Brook, Bayliss had a big crash, all by himself, in to the fence in front of the pits enclosure.

He was transported to hospital.

The track is really, really fast--close to being Mile fast.  All day the corners had teams trying to second guess what the next fast line would be--inside our outside?  It matters as to how you'll do your gearing.  Get it wrong, and you've got your work cut out.  Prior to the final race quite a bit of water was sprayed on the surface and then pressed down by a stream of cars and trucks.  It would start out slippery, but then what?...

There's not a bad seat in the stands, and the pits are paved (at least most of the pits).  It's a well-designed dirt track.  I hope it comes back next year. The crowd wasn't all that great.

It never grooved up; there was always a way to pass if you wanted it bad enough.

Team LBM watching what's working and what's not.

LowRyter, glad you found your information.  I was on the road when you asked, and there's a limit to what I'll type while driving..

Were you at the race Daniel? Wish I'd known. My son and I were in sec 417.  You are right about their not being a bad seat in the house. I can't believe it took them 14 years to come back.
