On the bright (NPI) side, the light works.
Unfortunately, it signifies nothing instead of neutral.
This is my brother's
Espresso e Grappa Norge. Gorgeous machine.
Poor Michael. He calls me with Guzzi wrenching questions under some sort of delusion that I might know. About electrical gremlins, too. Charming; near touching. An absolute waste of time.

He doesn't even lurk here, so I said I'd ask. Here goes.

This isn't the usual that I've encountered, i.e., no green light when I know I am in neutral. It's the reverse.
On his, the light will come on even when he is in gear. And, even when he deploys the sidestand -- IN GEAR
-- the engine will not shut off. But, as he is in gear, letting out the clutch would lurch or stall the bike.
