How long do Norge Silencers last?

Like it says - how long do they last?  I had a V50 years ago that would get through them at an alarming rate.  At least there's only 1 on the Norge.

 How long is a fish ? No idea why your V50 munched mufflers .

I used it as my only transport so a lot of the trips were short.  I ride to work was only 3.5 miles until started going a longer route.

My stock exhaust on a 2008 Norge now has nearly 100,000 miles on it. I'd think the environment and manner of use would make more difference than anything else, as internal condensation and such are the more frequent cause of exhaust failures...

Good point.  That was in England where they'd rot.

The silencer on my 2007 Norge lasted 6 years before the weld between the pipe and muffler/can fell apart. I'm sure the road salt helped ;-)
