Anybody Here Have a Sonata?...NGC
« on: October 06, 2015, 10:48:06 AM »
Daughter has a 2012 Sonata. I'd like to start maintaining it for her rather than her going to the dealer for service ($$). I'm having a hell of time trying to figure where to put my jack stands after using the floor jack with a pinch weld adapter to get it in the air. A brake job is in her future and I don't like working with just the hydraulic jack. The spot for lifting would be occupied by the jack if I just used the jacking point and there would be no room on the side for the jack stand.

Was just thinking if any Sonata owners here ever figured out other points where the load could be supported other than the 4 points identified by Hyundai. This must be ploy to keep people from maintaining their own cars.  :embarassed:
