Clutch replacement suggestions?
« on: October 19, 2015, 01:59:18 AM »
I am going to replace the single plate clutch in my low mileage (12K) 04 EV Touring  with a double plate set up. Does anybody have any recommendation of things I should replace or check while this is underway?
Rear wheel bearings, Carrier bearing, etc?

Thanks,
Scott

I re-grease the driveshaft splines and those in the hub every time the rear tyre is replaced.

With only 12k miles, I don't thing you will need to do much.
I would look closely at the rubber fuel lines and vents. Those may be starting to rot.
Lube all of the shift pivots/links.
Any of course drive shaft splines.
