Matt said some really funny and meaningful things here . The one that has stuck with me is the story regarding helmet laws in SC . Matt was having a discussion with a Harley rider regarding the law applying to passengers under a certain age . The HD guy stated something like ," probably a good idea for a passenger on a Harley because they are so much more powerful than a
BMW "
Of course Matt was riding a beemer
Wish I had been present
Any other memories of Matt , or other lost friends ?

Didn't have much interaction with Matt, but he always had something positive to say.
My late friend Larry had a quote that always cracked me up. He was asked is he thought he would ever "work things out" with his wife one time and his reply was "not until she takes back what she said to me" when asked what she said he replied "GET THE @#$& OUT!!"
Larry was a funny guy!

I didn't know him, but he was always nice and considerate to me and other new Guzzi members. Sad to hear about this..

I missed that he passed away because of my trip to Germany...
Sad to hear he is gone. His trip to Alaska was a thing to behold, and I always enjoyed his posts.
So long, thanks for the inspiration!

I had a dialogue with Matt on this forum for over a year mostly about about the cal II and rallys. I had meant to ride down and see him but things just kept popping up. My Frienb Gary rode with me on his / 5 and I finally met him in person. When we walked into his home Gary asked about his screen name diligaf? Calmly and with only a hint of a smile Matt responded, "do I look like I give a f&%$". It took Gary a sceond to get it and I almost fell over.
The next visit with with the wife in her slingshot. Matt sent a picture of it to his daughter and had to call her to make sure she saw the picture. He put the phone on speaker and we heard loud squealing from her because she thought Matt had bought it..always entertaining tobe around and Marion was a great sport as well.

"do I look like I give a f&%$"
That's priceless. In the years I'd followed his posts, I'd never have guessed.

The odd thing about the term is that urban dictionaries seem to have no idea where it originated . Most give some vague reference to a comedian , or rapper . Not sure just exactly when it was first used , but was in common use in the Air Farce in the late 60s early 70s, like "GSF" , or "FUBAR" . My guess is Matt picked it up in the USN .
