Thanks ohiorider !!!

after reading your post on the new 1100 Triumphs I stumbled upon this.

I Sent my wife a link and she said that she would sell her beloved '77 Yamaha XS650 and buy one if they make it!!!

And she will!!!

Nunzio, if your wife likes it then that's all that matters.  I'd keep the XS650 though.

Me, I don't get the look.  It's like a Vincent without the dual saddle.

I never seem to visually enjoy faux-hard-tails.

Once the pleasant, continuous line of the frame rail is broken to accommodate suspension, my eye feels faked out, cheated or underserved. At that point, I'd rather have vintage shock-vintage geometry than the busted frame look.

It'll be interesting to see, if this hits the road and, if it takes off, whether HD answers with a "soft-tail" Sportster?

I think it'd have been interesting to take a swing at a "plunger" axle on a proper rigid frame.

Ugly?  Compared to the "America"?

Either the test rider is a giant or that is a small bike.  Guzzi V7 sized perhaps.

went to the local triumph dealer fall open house last weekend. He said the 865 motor is a thing of the past. it can't meet the new EPA specs. The 1100 liquid cooled motor will be in the bonneville soon. The new EURO spec bikes have to meet tougher EPA regs. Also over in europe all bikes will be ABS equipped as well as will all USA bikes in the very near future.
