Yep, that's a perfectly adequate repair, and all that's necessary. Guzzis still suffer from the occasional "2 Grappa lunch" assembly syndrome, but not as bad as during the 90s.  Unfortunately, it seems to be part of ownership.. and the owner has to grin and bear it or move on to another brand.

You got a little more of the Harley culture in you than you'd like to admit...  :boozing:

Surely that is funny , no idea what it means however   :coffee:

I thought my earlier post was the end of the story, but the saga continues!

Just got a call from John today that Piaggio has decided to approve the repair!

I think the 200 word protest John wrote worked. John reassures me it's just one plug under the seat, NOT a rewiring of the entire bike. Should be a simple fix.
He says it's a new bike and we want to keep it that way.
So when the part comes in, I'll take it in to get changed.
Nice of Piaggio, and definitely nice of Brookside Motorcycles. Great bunch of folk.

Someone requested pics of bike:

I can totally understand your initial motivation and thought process, but I think you made the right decision!

And I can say from experience I expect you're going to really enjoy that bike!

RIDE SAFE!

Kev
Thank you, sir!

Seems like a lot of hand wringing over nothing. Just saying. It took only a few days.

Yes. I guess i was upset about the initial refusal by piaggio. And, as a newbie, I am paranoid about riding a bike with patched up wiring in the rain. Partly why I bought a brand new bike.

Sorry if it wasted folks' time, but I do appreciate the supportive advice that seems to abound on this forum.

definitely am glad it worked out. Hopefully this may inspire others looking to buy, to deal with confidence with Piaggio and of course Brookside Motorcycles.

Ha ha - too funny, so it was only a sub-harness in the end anyway... lol.

Cool.... NICE BIKE BTW!

Glad to hear it, and a nice bike, I'm envious.

The point I was attempting to make in my earlier post was that we often bend over backwards to keep a customer happy in the knowledge that since we do so they will usually return for more.
That's the combustion chamber of the turbo shaft. It is supposed to be on fire. You just don't usually see it but the case and fairing fell off.

Thank you.  Yes, the rear bundle plugs in under the seat I guess.

Yes, especially if people make a quality product and warranty claims are small and few.
