Aprillia Signal Light Stems Wanted
« on: October 27, 2015, 06:59:04 PM »
I am making up another batch of repro V7 Sport front signal light brackets. I found a local shop that water jet cut the oval shaped flat tabs with a 15mm and a 10mm diameter hole in them, amazing how perfect the 3mm plate has been cut, minimum order resulted in 74 pieces, enough for 37 pairs to be made up.

I have 5 pair of Aprillia stems, these are 15mm diameter X 65mm long and have a 10mm threaded end on each end extending beyond the 65mm smooth stem section. I cut off one threaded end and then weld the smooth end to the tabs which have been prepared.

This is what the Aprillia stem looks like

Guzzi originals have just the smooth stem with a female threaded end to accept a hollow coupler. This is an original,

The Aprillia parts eliminate the need to add a coupling section.

If anyone has a pair of these stems I would like to purchase them, as many as I can find, rust no issue as I am going to have the parts chrome plated.

I will make up some as per the Guzzi original as well.

The more of these I can make up at one time the cheaper the cost.

Please pm me if you have any stems available

From what I gather, the Aprilia TS housing has a 7/16x14 thread . All my Aprilia TS's (8) at least are like that.  Jim, I will look and see what I have got. So far the ones I  found in my stash (and  modded to fit my Guzzi) are old  Bevel Ducati angled ones with male thread( 7/16) on the ends, similar to the pic, but  with a forked end.
