Joined the Clan/ Proud Owners...wow this is one way to do it!
« on: October 29, 2015, 04:16:05 PM »
I managed to sign up and join Guzzi's free club, they were calling the Clan, a couple months back.  I got an email a couple weeks ago asking me to confirm that they had all my correct info, as they would be sending me my members packet soon.   I knew they had it all correct so I did nothing.

On Monday their was a note from Fed Ex  on my door, saying they had a package for me that needed a signature.  I filled out the tag saying its ok to leave at the door, having no clue what it was.    And so Piaggio sent me via Fed EX Int Priority, an envelope containing my membership package.  The funny part as, inside the fed ex business size envelope was a normal sized black envelope with my address on it, be it of a pretty high grade paper, containing a simple letter welcoming to the Proudowners.motoguz zi.com, and my membership card, which to their credit, is a real card, made of real plastic, with a real number and other such important stuff!  It does seem like they are gravitating away from, The Clan name, to, Moto Guzzi Proud Owners, not sure that the translation works so well to english?

Anyway, the point of my going on is Piaggio must have spent at least $8-10 getting me the letter, when they could have just sent it snail mail for less than $2!  Why on earth did it need a signature?

But now bitching aside, I am now a proud member, which most of you hags are not!!    I'm not going to look at the bennys I get, as there are apparently quite a few!

I assume that you guys aren't working for Sales and Marketing of this new group, because I don't suspect there's going to be a rush to join ....

I'm a member.  Got my membership card.  Get some emails from time, to time.  Some benefits available, if you're in Europe.

It didn't cost anything, so I thought, "why not?"

Apparently riding a motorcycle cleared up his face.
