Florida Dealers

Well another one bites the dust. Tropic Powersports closed recently due to losing their lease. That doesn't leave many options here in Florida

I heard that a dealership in Sanford (Between Orlando and Daytona) is looking at MG and Aprilia.
Let's hope....

Jerry,
Jim Wilson did not close, he relocated to another address. He dropped Guzzi and Aprilla for lack of sales. He has been a long time Vespa dealer as well as other scooters and that's his bread and butter. He like a lot of other dealers tried to make a go of it, but it wasn't in the cards. :boozing:

Red Ember Cycles in Daytona, Justin and Paul are great to work with. Their web site is currently down, issues with Go Daddy.

Tropical is still open but dropped Guzzis due to smaller location. They are still servicing them but parts availability will be hit or miss.

What I meant by "closed" is that aren't selling Moto Guzzi any longer. When they lost their lease they had to move to a smaller location which is only suitable for Vespa's

I've been there a couple of times. However, they don't have a 1400 in stock and none on order.

I see that Seminole Power Sports in Sanford is now listed as "coming soon" on the list of MG's Florida dealers.
They've been around a while and I don't recall ever hearing much about them... which I guess is good, as we tend to hear the bad stuff more loudly.

I've been less than impressed by my interactions with Red Ember; another option for us Central Florida folks is
pretty exciting stuff. Lack of "local(ish)" support has kept me away from a newer machine.... but man do I want one.

I hope "coming soon" mean really soon.

I was in there a week ago and they mentioned that the only thing left to do was sign the papers.
Sounds like they will be carrying MG real soon.
I have a friend that brought a Triumph there for service and he was happy with the results.
They are about 2 miles from my house.  I was thinking about getting a new Bonneville because the lack of a good MG dealer in the area.  This could be just what we need in Central Fl.
