why do the colors change?

This morning the colors (of text and so forth) on this site were the same on both of my computers. One using windows the other using Ubuntu, Firefox on both. This afternoon the Linux computer has different colors on this page.  This is not the first time that the colors have changed on the Linux computer (with no software changes that I know of) but they always stay the same on the Windows computer. This is not critical but I would like to know why and how I might be able to change them. Just a dumb question for all of the computer experts on this board.

I believe Fall / Autumn has finally arrived on the board, and as such, the colors are changing!   

On a serious note, wondering if you have a different Display setting though between the computers.

Perhaps your computer is about to crap out.
It was quite common with the old CRTs to loose a colour

The real odd part is if I boot the notebook to Windows the colors are always the same as the desktop (which only runs Windows) but when running Ubuntu they change back and forth!
