Suggest Scott State Park. Annie Oakley park in Oakley used to offer free camping not sure if they still do.
John , it isn't the town , it is monument rock I am interested in . Full of fossils from the time when the continent was cut in half by an ocean . Dusty
Looks like a good stop over point on a road trip to Colorado . Dusty
I'd rather have a vodka enema than ride 70 the whole way.
There are alternatives to I-70. GliderJohn
Gee, An America version of Pete.Dean
Yeah , bet we could get to Oakley and never use the interstate . Would you be interested in guiding us John ? Dusty
Yes, believe me, I've been to Kansas. Maybe not as much as Glider John and Daniel K, but I've BEEN to Kansas
We have ALL been to Kansas . Oddly enough , some of my best memories are from the sunflower state , good people , interesting places . Dusty
we can get there W/O employing the interstate
I concur with Daniels choice if Highway 4. I would be willing to lead a tour of Kansas hot spots. Speaking of Highway 4 there is also a very interesting motorcycle museum along it. GliderJohn

That would be a cool sunrise! I'll bet we can get the Mayor of CV to vouch for us Dusty
