 That's eerie Dean , was just reading about Dan Gurney's time at Ferrari , and there is his famous #48 F1 Ferrari in the first pic . Thanks , love those old racing pics

I like the last photo of the Cosworth Ford with all four wheels off the track.

The cars didn't resemble insects, then, and the entire painted surfaces were not obscured by stickers.

Dean, those are great pics of a wonderful era in auto racing.  I started attending car races in 1969 at Virginia International Racing, and spent many wonderful days spectating at Mid Ohio during the 1970s, 80s, 90s, and into the early 2000s.

EDIT:  And Ralph, no kidding!  Maybe they should go back to international colors and no stickers.  BRG = England, Red = Italy, Silver = Germany, and I think the US was White and Blue.  There must be a lot more I don't remember.
