Three decades later and I'm still riding it. Not a record, but a respectable average.

Story here: http://www.vintagemotorcyclesonline.com

Three more please!

Great Guzzi story, Nolan(wish I could write like that).  I too am as committed with my 1st Guzzi, `81 CX100 my wife to be Judy put the down payment on so she wouldn't  have to ride on the back of my Yamaha XS650 again in `84?!   Still have it(CX) but it hasn't been on the roads for  years now.  Had a `87 LeMans IV for a few  years too but since "if the power's there I be usin' it" had to sell it before I got caught going 137 mph on public roads! Got some stories to tell though.   But now @ 73 yo all that is behind me........most the time.   Speed in the twisties, still there.  :thumb:

Have other brand bikes/maxi-scooters but still 3 Guzzis that are operational w/TLC.  Got a MC historic license plate for our new `77 Convert. and will get 1 for the CX when it's back on the road.  A few weeks ago some Harleys passed me on the Convert. on Rte 66 and got some RESPECT from them.    Figure is was for the Convert. license plate.

Awesome story, Nolan. I enjoyed every word! Beautiful white Le Mans too. I just became the proud owner of a Gorgeous Le Mans IV myself, and can already relate to many of the points you write about the bike.  I now own "Bruce from Buckeye's" Red LeMans... I think you know the bike, its very well sorted, and also has a Corbin like yours.
It puts a smile on my face every time I fire it up!
Rick.

Once again met Mike Sorge after many years on his tricked out Le Mans IV @ the MGNOC Nevada State rally in late August.  It was hardly noticeable from what it once looked like(yours) but more up to date than ever chassis wise.  You know Mike, always tweaking it.

Lucky the whole suspenders and beer-belly thing was left out Chuck. It could of been much worse.

Glad to know that machine went to someone who will appreciate it. There's no shame in selling something off (nor is it anyone's business) but too many guys gave up on the Le Mans 1000 before getting it sorted. I would have loved to own Bruce's Le Mans myself. I still think they look best in red.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. Very flattering and much appreciated.
