Photos (NGC) Sliver linings after the storm
« on: December 03, 2015, 08:57:45 PM »
We had a fairly significant ice storm last weekend. By Monday the storm has passed but the skies didn't clear until late in the day.

First two shots are taken off my deck.

This shot is of a Redtail Hawk trying to dry out and warm up I think.

I think this is a Capped Chickadee.

This was a flock of migrating pelicans.

And the end of the day.

Nice stuff Glider, reminds me of Springfield's ice storm of '07 the whole town was w/o power for over a week. We lost 10 Bradford pear trees in about 40 minutes.

All that heavy ice is going to hurt those poor trees!

Oh well, nothing lasts forever. I just read that Mt Etna in Sicily just blew her top!

Yikes! That has to be scary to see up close!

Actually tree damage was minimal as we were very lucky to have little wind or it would have been a disaster. We had two power outages, first one lasted about 11 hours the second about six.
