The ultimate free fall without a parachute
« on: December 07, 2015, 05:06:02 PM »
Good one. Jumping out of hot air ballon at 2 miles high without a chute. He even took off his shirt. I doubt he could feel the cold as the adrenaline rush was so high that he felt no pain.

My best friend (since I was 14 years old) made his first jump (with a parachute) at age 65.  He has what I call the "super duper risk taker gene" so I sent this video to him as soon as I saw it.  He immediately called me and said that he wanted no part of anything like that.  It takes someone who is stuffed full of crazy genes to do what we all see in that video.  CRAZY!
NO longer can ride

So , it's guys like this who eventually go one step beyond and wind up getting removed from the landscape with a shovel.  Hey, if that's your thing, fine. What bothers me is the inevitable outpouring of banalities afterwards- "he lived his life as if there were no tomorrow...he was a free spirit....he lived with the wonder and excitement of a child..."

Genes contributing to this behavior have persisted, so there must be some competitive advantage. (?)
