Question about panniers for Breva 750
« on: December 16, 2015, 10:12:36 AM »
My soft sided luggage is just about at the end of its life, as the zippers are broken, so I was wondering what to replace them with, either soft sided or hard cases?  Wondering what the consensus is on the pros and cons of each type.   I don't do a lot of overnighters, but i do make stops at the grocery store for the misses or runs to the hardware store etc, and the bags have come in handy.  If you have soft sided bags, what brand and do you like them?  Same for hard cases.

Bike is a 2007 Breva 750!

When I had my B750, I used H-B 30 liter cases.

Nothing better than a good rack and Top Box for daily use.  Handy and will hold a helmet.  Soft bags for those occasional trips when more storage needed.

I installed a Nonfango universal mount base & top case, Hepco Becker frame for 30L or 40L hard bags + Tourmaster tank bag.  :thumb:

I have a V7 Classic (2010 model).  Bought it used and the previous owner had purchased the $1000 MG leather bags/carriers.  They're really good looking, well made bags but they don't hold as much and not nearly as useful as the H&B hard bags that I had on my Breva 750.
I would go with the H&B hard bags & a Givi topcase and you'll be better than good to go.
