Wow , lots of messages , thanks WG  OK , nothing secretive happening here . Suppose it seems odd that a Yank is interested in Holmfirth . or maybe it is obvious  Anyway , would like to have a letter or postcard postmarked "Holmfirth" . Silly ? Well sure . A member has posted this up on a couple of English MC forums . Will contact the English members who have so graciously contacted me . Thanks folks  :thumb:

Aha!

Hopefully it wont be shipped off to one of the Post Office hubs and come to you  post marked Doncaster or similar

Do you want one from Lincoln which has the second best cathedral in the country after Salisbury where I was brought up?

The wrath of Lincolnshire will now descend upon me

Any foreign postmark is cool . Yeah , if anyone has the time and is willing to send a simple letter or postcard from exotic (to me anyway) locale , send me a message . Yeah , kind of old fashioned in this day and age , still , something about holding a letter from say Singapore is somehow satisfying, like the difference between a book and reading on a computer . Really do want a Holmfirth postmark, contacted their website months ago , so far no response .
