 Nope Deke , the Ozark plateau and the Ouchitas .

That's all on the other side of Oklahoma.  Frankly, the region that Dusty is talking of is really Arkansas, with just a bit of spillage of good stuff into Oklahoma.

So the tree line is around 10,000 ft. above see level.  How much of OK is there above 10,000 ft???

 How much of Colorado is above 10,000 feet ? Nowhere in the Eastern states is above the treeline ? Besides , W/O Oklahoma , there would be a big hole in the middle that Texas would try to claim

So I guess the real question is, "How much of OK is inhospitable?"   

 All of it , although there are some places that folks from the coasts aren't tough enough to survive in Hurry up Deke , I can't keep this up much longer

Thanks for the pictures, beautiful.  Riding through the Alps has always seemed kind of like the "Holy Grail" of motorcycle trips to me. Just a dream really.

Can you share some of the logistics of the trip with us ? 

How do you make it happen, plan your routes, figure out where to stay, cross borders, etc. ?  I'm relatively new to the forum, so please forgive me if you have already discussed these things, but as someone who has only ridden in a handful of States in the US, I'm really inspired by the possibilities your pictures illustrate --
