 I am not really an avid football fan , but certain players have caught my attention over the years . Larry Fitzgerald of the Arizona Cardinals is one of those guys . Well liked by his team mates , and the opposing players even seem to like the guy , even when he is beating the hell out of them . Anyway , he just basically willed his team to the NFC championship game . Great player , even better person

Wild game.  I heard the Cris Collinsworth career-damning narrative forming around Carson Palmer.  A lucky bounce saved him from the pantheon of choke.  These commentators do love to tear men down.

Okay I am a super big Cards  fan. I watched the game on t.v from 2am till nearly 6am. I am still amazed at the Cards ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
Yes, amazingly lucky for  MY Cards to win that one.

The way they do OT is a joke. Each team should get at least one possession. The hail Mary is a bit of luck, but so was the bounce pass TD before that. What I don't understand is why (regardless of Palmer's scrambling) Fitzgerald was left completely unattended. That was just stupid. Packer's coach would have a lifetime losing record without Rodgers.

I kept falling asleep watching the game and didn't know that the Cardinals had kicked that last field goal to go up by 7; when I saw the Hail Mary I thought that the Packers had won the game and cut the TV off.  Then I woke up this morning, saw this thread and I couldn't believe it!

Fitz's overtime was just wow and I missed it.

Over and over I see games where the Team can not seem to put up points for the first 58 minutes but then become unstoppable in the last 2 minutes. The packers were playing really good. those long passes were amazing.

Glad I watched this game, it was a classic thrill ride:  one of the best playoff struggles ever.  I know little about the Cardinals. 

Fingers crossed for the Broncos this afternoon.

Up here in WI, the Packers are called "The heart attack Pack". That was a great game to watch.

The entertainment for me started with the 100yd touch down return that was denied for an offensive foul early in the game, an unusually entertaining game!

Greenbay's coach soundied like a whinny baby after the game. He was complaining about the Fitzgerald catch that he challenged and lost.  Fitzgerald took three full steps with procession before going out of bounds.

Rodgers also sounded like a baby whining about the coin toss.
