Best practices for engine case cleaning and staying clean

I am sure there have been many posts on the subject in the past but I was hoping for "state of the science" information...or just want to see where this goes.
I am in the process of restoring a few bikes and was hoping that all y'all might share your tip for cleaning engine cases and keeping them looking good if they have been cleaned (blasted) previously and have reverted to a grungy dull look.
I like the looks of dirt and patina and various animal/insect parts just fine...but I was hoping for help with that extra clean look.

Duplicolor silver or aluminum engine paint
It doesn't look like the cases were painted but the stay clean
Only really works on crankcase not polished covers

Clean by soda blasting then finish with a light coat of aluminum engine paint.  I've used that method for years.

Any particular brand of Aluminum engine paint?

I sandblast then Vaporblast or Vaporhone.

Duplicolor engine paint has worked well for me

Vapor blast is best.  I blast with walnut shells and treat with amsoil metal protectant.
