I stopped in the drug store for some OTC stuff a few days ago. There was a basket in one aisle that had a bunch of older DVDs on sale, for, I think, 2 for a dollar. I pawed through them, finding nothing but a bunch of old Bruce Willis type videos. At the end of the basket, I came across one entitled "New Orleans ... Music in Exile." It appears to have been produced only a few years after Katrina practically eliminated NO. A very interesting video for anyone who likes New Orleans music, and who might wonder what happened to all those musicians who evacuated.
After watching it, I noticed there were some bonus materials on the disc. One was a short video featuring Jon Cleary, entitled "A History of New Orleans Piano."
I think any of you folks who enjoy piano/keyboard as played in the blues style will truly enjoy the talent of this individual as he covers, in less than 10 minutes, a wide range of piano styles played in NO. He has a bunch of stuff on YouTube.
