Enjoy your revels!  We lived 5 years in Lafayette, LA--and Mardi Gras was always a highlight of the year. Fond memories indeed.

For me today is yet another day of humping stuff to the new Villa, meeting a contractor, other deadlines, decisions and manual labor.  At least it is not raining.

In Germany we have Karnival in the north and fashing in the south. Costumes, food, beer and parades. Lots of fun.

Got a chance to see some of the Mardi Gras parade in Galveston on Sunday...another beautiful day for a ride out...folks were definitely having fun!

It was a beautiful day for Mardi Gras, my wife and I went to a parade in Covington and were home for noon. Nothing and at all like my younger days when I would still be on Bourbon Street at mid night when the police would come down the street saying Mardi Gras is over go home. ;-)
