rear shock length
« on: February 14, 2016, 11:03:33 AM »
I've just bought a '79 Le Mans mk 2, can anyone tell me the correct eye to eye length of the unladen rear shock/s ? I suspect they are not correct (too short), for a couple of reasons. The mufflers are far too close to the bottom mount bolt and the bike feels ponderous at low to medium speed, worse than my old Darmah, I think the front is kicked out too far. A guy with a bog standard Mk 1 told me his feels very neutral at low speed.

I thought that this thread might devolve into my shock's longer than your shock.
Or my shock is stiffer than your shock.
