The fairing wasn't broken, it was cut very cleanly, so a patch should be super easy. I'd still wage it won't start because of an electrical issue. BTW, I offered
$1,700 for her.

I paid just a touch more.  I don't anticipate any major problems.  A major service, fix the fuel pump issue and repair the fairing.  It gives me a project while I'm in Vegas and keeps me out of the casinos......

Take the fuel pump off.  Spray carb cleaner into both ends.  Drain.  Look down into it.  If your lighting is good enough you'll see a rotor.  Fill that side up with carb spray and stand on end.  Let soak.  Drain.  Take a awl pick and see if you can spin the rotor.  If it breaks free.  Slowly spin it.  Spray more carb spray.  Drain.  Hook up and see if it spools up when you turn the ignition switch on.
