MV Tourismo Veloce Lusso?

Considering on as a retirement present for myself. sat on one and it fits. Light weight appeals and HP:Weight ratio is excellent. must be down on torque from my Nero Corsa, but that was a heavy thing when sweepers turn in to goatish trails. Anyone with riding experience on one care to comment?

I don't know how MV has historically made out in reliability. The dealer network is small but seems like most new bikes - if they breakdown - are going to end up in a trailer going somewhere anyway. As a second bike to my '81 G5 cafe thing, this is acceptable if infrequent.

Can't reply much to the actual bike you're looking at, but I do own an MV F4 750.  And I'll put MV reliability right up there with Guzzi reliability.  They both have their little issues.  In fact my Guzzi has had way more issues than the MV.  But the basic driveline of both seems bullet proof.

   The new MV Agusta Turismo Veloce Lusso is super pretty . They are bounds better than they were a few years ago. The power and handling is a lot like a Street Triple but a bit more torque. A little roomier than a Street Triple though. The Lusso has the electronic suspension and an in dash GPS ( that I never got to operate) .  It lacks the " butt pucker " factor of the Brutale R but hey, it's a sport tourer . Only downside on them is that they can get pricy to maintain but that comes with most Italian exotica anyway .

I bought one last October. Lovely engine with most of the power in the midrange. In the past MV's have had issues with fuelling but this one is spot on. Comfortable on long runs, very light but rides ok in high winds. I have the standard bike without the semi active suspension, but got it with the touring package which includes panniers, centrestand and heated grips. Panniers are easy to remove and put on. The quickshifter is great up and down the box. Bike is well finished. 10k mile servicing as well.
Pop over to mvagusta.net for more info. Not many issues so far.  Digital dash tends to be overloaded with info, the engine runs hot in traffic and they have yet to bring out a topbox which is in development.
So far I am pleased with the bike.

I did try it. It's a high revving engine, The bike is short, it feels so. And I had the feel not to be able to tour with it. It was asking to rev. The quick shifter does it's job. But I felt like on  a 600 supersport all the time. And worst: the engine sounds like all things loose inside, not a pleasant mecanical sound

Thanks all.  I'd checked MV forum but the bias there is what you'd expect.  I have not ridden or even heard the thing, so good comment Paul. My legs w boots do fit under the tank wings which was a concern. I didn't fit Brutale's of a few years ago (fine because I wasn't interested).

Two bikes are in the running for a rider/short tourer; Yamaha FJ 09 and the MV. Yamaha much less expensive, but 40 lbs heavier and the cost increases with optional side cases and suspension modifications most advise for my wt. Still a hefty $4K difference enen after the Yamaha upgrades, but the active suspension would be nice. Bay Area California roads often suck. Italian counts for something too.

MV intrigues the hell out of me.  Test rode a 675 about 2 years ago, and found the snatchy fueling an issue.  The Brutale was the bike of choice, but the owner was murdered (literally) and now MV picked up by another dealer. 

Every once in a while I see on at the mega dealer used bike section.  The MVs seem extreme in every way, which could be a good thing, or bad. The touring bike is damn pretty.  Might have to test one some day.
