Nice!  I agree on the spaghetti forks being the culprit.  Many here seem fine with the stock forks.

If available a fork brace helps a lot.  Most newer forks come with a built in brace nowadays.  The chrome fender on my `77 Convert. is a built in fork brace it's so stiff.   Added a fork brace to my `81 CX100(vinyl fender).

I'm perfectly fine with the stock forks. Of course I just ride, no sporty for me. Love my V65. Wish I had it new.

I have a sp, very similar to the one here, not quite a clean, but close.

Nice review, but not spot on.  The old girl is not in the same league and the new era small blocks.  The motor is noticeably weaker, and the trans is far far from the new stuff.  The over all ride lacks any kind of modern feel.   That being said, it is a very nice bike, for what it is.  It will hit a ton, stop reasonably fast, and looks great, what more can you ask from an old girlfriend?
