Speedhut guages

Just though i'd pass it along that until the end of the month 20% off. Now the question is do i want a speedo or tach to replace the dead speedo on my stone.  I'm thinking gps speedo, but really don't need the standard 20 feet of cable and for those of you that have purchased these in the past, where do you put the sensor?

I picked up a speed hut speedo/tach combo for a cafe racer, the big one (3 7/8?)  and had them remove the "speed hut" logo but keep the "made in USA" stamp (not a fan of logos, I'm paying cold cash and don't really entertain the fact they 'advertise' on said product, without paying me in cold cash.  I haven't figured how to mount the gauge yet, but I'll be putting the sensor thru the top tube and under the seat.  One BIG THING to consider, is they aren't weatherproof.  You'll have to send them out or do it yourself if its a daily driver.

Here are my Speedhut gauges. You can see the GPS receiver just above the tach in the photo. I mounted it inside the LeMans' fairing at about 45 degrees, not level like they recommended.

Talk to a technician at Speedhut before you order, they will trim cables to length, put extra sealant on the gauges, and talk with you about options such as remote buttons and dash-light dimmer.

As Scud says or make a sensor to go on the gearbox where the cable is driven from.

I put a Speed Hut gps speedo on my Ballabio.  Works just fine.  Like Scud says, ask them to silicone seal the unit.  I had them shorten the antenna cable to a foot.  I mounted the antenna inside the fairing.  I mounted the function selector on the handlebar.

I too have posted the benefits of Speedhut gauges in the past.  It's an amazing company in the USA that puts out a great product.  They offer or can build just about anything you need.

I've been using them on motorcycles for several years now with no problems. It's great that they will silicone them up for you but you can also do some of that yourself. Also, I have a tach that I've been running on a dual sport for 2-3 years now without any special sealing and it is fine.

I have the 4" speedometer on my 70 Ambo and used the pulse input unit, it fit perfectly in the stock mounting.  Great unit!
