I think you guys are being a bit elitist, judgmental and harsh.

I choose to view it as a form of flattery and rather pine for their version of "SPORT" to put on my '95 "SPOT".

But really, is it that we've seen this one before or is it something which has happened to more than one of these?

As to the pic - it begs the question which always pops into my head just ahead of or immediately after: "WTF?" and that is; who is the target audience of this?
It fairly screams for comment:
What is his stance supposed to tell us?... 'roids?
Really... biker in his 'jammies?
Super..... what!?!

Cape? Check
Heels? Right here 'babe!

Interesting, Union Cycle, the Guzzi dealer that once was located outside of Charlotte, also sold those for a long time under the name QLink.  The little circle on the side is a speaker and it had a built in MP3 player.  I remember Kim always sitting on them and saying that she would love an automatic motorcycle.  I bought her a Hawk GT instead and she hated it!

Wonder if that came from Carl's old shop?

There are kit cars all over the place. Fieros turned into Ferrari and Lambo look alikes complete with badges and everything. Big whoop. VWs that had some RR looking front end on them, fake Morgans you name it.

Question is: how many people replied to the ad to demand satisfaction?

Maybe Guzzi sold out to the Chinese and didn't tell anyone?

How many of the Guzzi components are made in China?  Never know, that thing could have more real Guzzi parts on it than the one sitting in your garage.

On my 1996 Sport 1100, I'm pretty sure the number is "zero".

There may be one or two on my 2014 V7 Special, but I've not seen them, yet.

Guzzi is well known for having most of its parts supplied from within Italy, though the number has been reduced under Piaggio ownership.

Check the wheels. On at least 2013 and up, the Norge wheels are made in China. They work well and look good so it really doesn't matter but there are probably more parts made other than in Italy than we'd all like to think.

Older Guzzis, sure, probably all the components are made there.

On new models, probably more than a small number. No way to tell really unless you take them apart and start looking.

What are the chances someone buys that bike in the ad and doesn't know it isn't in the model lineup? Maybe its just a scam?

Or, someone that owns a competing brand decided to dice up craigslist?

Whole thing is rather funny.
