Spring Time Ride in TX Hill Country
« on: April 03, 2016, 09:03:37 PM »
Betty and I took the Norge and spent 5 days riding around in the great weather we are enjoying right now.  Couple of shots from the porch of the cabin we rented on the Frio River, an overlook on 337 and breakfast at Lost Maples cafe.   A really good trip it was.

I could not open the photo files but the Hill Country is some very good riding this time of year.

I was riding a Kawa Voyager in the '03 - '08 time frame and the Texas Regional group held an annual rally in that area.  It moved to a different city every year but it was always about the same -- good warm weather, great roads, fabulous Bar-B-Q and lot of good company.  It was always worth the trip.

I always knew I'd get old.  How fast it happened was a bit of a surprise, though.

337?  The old twisted sisters, eh?  Good riding.  A morning stop at the OST in Bandera for breakfast and an afternoon  stop at Loves in Medina for a fresh apple pie, ice cream and a jug of icy cold apple cider enjoyed barefoot at the picnic table with your feet massaging the grass.  Damn fine ride.

I too have had breakfast at OST before riding the sisters.  Good times.
