Hi All

I was wondering are the california II and a california III sharing the same engine/transmission/rear drive/gearing ?
They look the same,same size 88x78mm ( 948 cc. ) and 5 speed trans .
Any important difference/improvement ?
Or basically same thing ?
( except those few caliIII bikes that came with big valve motors )
just a curiosity .

thanks

Others may chime in so here goes.

The Call11 is the smoother engine of the two . In the Call 111 the factory changed the Wrist pins so the Cali 111 has heaver wrist pins (they didn,t seem to rebalance the rotating mass) so there is a slight buzz/vibration in the Cali 111 engine, from my experience and first hand input from actual owners.

Other than that both are good bikes and the other changes  are cosmetic ,carbs ,valve size etc.

Others will be along shortly and add additional comments.
