Well, I didn't make that bet - matter of fact, I didn't bet on anyone (and never do - I'm a professional in risk management!)However, the guys covering the Formula 1 practice the other day mentioned that Tom Hanks is a fan of one of the better known teams - but that he put 10 pounds on Leicester at the start of the season! Cubs! It's their turn too!
so a tie still works for Lester?
Not necessarily -Leicester tied against Manchester United today. If Tottenham (no. 2 in the League) win all their remaining matches they will still not catch up if:Leicester tie also their remaining two games, or have (at least) one win.
Tottenham meet Chelsea at Stamford Bridge tonight. If they don't win, the Premiership goes to Leicester. If Tottenham do win there will be more nail-biting before it's settled.
Is the Jamie Vardy suspension over? Will he be able to play in the remaining games. Drinkwater got a Red Card yesterdays game and also gave the ref (Michael Oliver) a piece of his mind on the way off, same thing Vardy was suspended for. Hope they are not shooting themselves in the foot.
Chelsea 2 - Tottenham 2, Leicester have won the premier league...
Congratulations Leicester Still , the system is a bit confusing to us Yanks Dusty
20 teams, play each other twice in the season so 38 games. 3 pts for a win, 1 pt for a draw, 0 pts for a loss. Team with the most points at the end of the season wins.Season isn't over yet (2 games left) but Leicester have a 7 point lead with only 6 'available'. Wish I'd put 200 on them, I'd be a millionaire...
About the only thing comparable is the 1969 Mets.
