« on: May 03, 2016, 11:03:10 AM »
Does anyone know when the V9's will be available in the states?  Also, does anyone know if the red V9 roamer (not the white w/ red) will be sold in the states?

Here in the Netherlands, all dealers got their first ones, and now waiting for the next delivery round that they seem to get in may.
I have already got the ecu map out of it and Guzzidiag is ready for it.

CT only has two dealers, and that garage door looks like the one at Hamlin Cycles. Jim Hamlin has added  Motus to his line, and will have the factory truck there this weekend, so I'll check them out and see if he has the new V9s as well.

You have to give Piaggio credit, the days of waiting a year to get new model Guzzi are long over!  I think the EU got them maybe a month faster than over here.

Altough not having pictures yet, the online shop polo-motorrad already lists Hepco & Becker C-Bow, side racks and rear luggage rack as available accessories for V9 Bobber and Roamer. so Luggage will not be a problem.

Got my new Cycle World yesterday and MG has a full page ad in it of the V9s calling them "authentic soul" and says they are now available @ all Guzzi dealers.

Minor point, but it says "...now available at dealerships".

Rode the Griso down for a look see at these new Guzzis. VERY nice detailing in most areas along with a few exposed components leaving a slightly unfinished look, but in a good way. Bobber handlebar diameter looks too small against nicely finished large switchgear.
Yellow/Gold (Giallo Solare)Raomer gas tank is beautiful. All the nice aluminum bits/fasteners impressed. Didn't care for little eagle things
stuck on the sides of the tank. Stripes on Bobber fender would be nicer if painted on(a lot of tape here unprotected),
but stripes on clear coated Solare tank look fantastic!
Lastly, as sitting on the bikes and looking down, the tank shape seems very wide for it's length. Struck me a little queer..
All said, a great effort by Guzzi to appeal to the masses. Good or bad as that may be..
YMMV

mjptexas,

Austin.  Not far from Houston.  Oh man, swat that thought away.  I will wait for a Houston dealer, and let the niggles get worked out of the V9s.  Best I can tell the bike checks all my boxes, every one of them.  Roamer.

Saw the V9s today at Hamlin Cycles. VERY NICE in person -- I think they'll be a hit for Guzzi. Unfortunately, Jim doesn't have a loaner, so test rides are not currently available. Also, the Roamer was up on a stand, so I couldn't through a leg over it. I did sit on the Bobber and was surprised that I really liked the riding position. The bars are very flat, but the risers are tall, so I found the riding position comfortable, at least as far as I could tell without actually riding it. The Roamer would still be my choice, though. And the yellow/gold paint is gorgeous.

Stopped by AF1 today on the way home.  They've got a Roamer and a Bobber on the floor.  Easy fly & ride from Houston.  You'd have 50% of the break-in miles out of the way by the time you get back home.  I'd even pick you up at the airport.

I am glad to see that this time Piaggio gets the timing right. My dealer here in Northern Germany has both models in stock since 3 - 4 weeks. A delay of two months for the delivery to the States seems reasonable. It after all has to be homologized. Even when it is considered that an Euro 4 - bike needs now needs the canister that filters the fuel fumes.
Greetings from Germany!
