gas tank removal
« on: May 06, 2016, 03:09:49 PM »
How do you disconnect the fuel line on a V7C? I need to re-route cables, etc. to put on a handlebar riser/ move back accessory. Thanks

It's under the tank, take out bolt on back of tank. Lift up the back wiggling L to R pull back & up. Take off 2 small lines, mark which goes where. Big fuel line connector pushes to the elbow, at same time pull ring on fitting back while pushing it toward elbow.

The connection can be a problem to work with.  Some people have actually replaced it.  If it is insurmountable let me know, and I'll find a solution.
