2017 national rally?

The other connecton is WG members are allowed to go to MGNOC events too.  Many bike organizations you can't go to their events unless you are also a member of their club.

 MGNOC members are also allowed to attend NAR's Wayne  Really , I can't think of many clubs that exclude non-members from attending their events as long as they bring money , certainly the MOA and BMW Riders Association don't .

Maybe the BMW club you know doesn't but the 1 in Calif. does. Also the Singles only club won't let you in a rally unless you join the club too.  Harley clubs I'm not sure of but who would want to be there if not on a Harley?  NARs are not put on by a bike club.

 That must be a state club , not either one of the National clubs . My point is this . the MGNOC is the MGNOC , WG is WG .

For sure!   We average 50% Guzzi, 25% BMW, 25% ADVriders

I was a member of the BMW Riders Club of Mississippi for five years and attended a couple of rallies until I received a letter stating that I had to prove that I owned a BMW in order to be a full member of the club.  Needless to say, I never went back.

Tom , once again , that is not a true statement . There is no connection between WG or the MGNOC, except that some of the board members do belong to the club . Seriously doubt that any WG members think a membership here is also a club membership . The only connection , and this is because of the nature of WG , is the promotion of club rallies here . The two entities are mutually exclusive other than that .

I said some not all.  Yes both are separate.  We don't care what you ride to any of the MG sponsored rallies.  The nature of WG is for contact and communication between members of MGNOC and the new owners of MG's.  Like the membership of the MGNOC, IIRC Luap wanted to promote the electronic communication between members and Guzzi owners in general.  This was an outreach to others that weren't members of MGNOC.  The forum is a promotion of the brand and not rallies only.

The only National that I've been to was Buena Vista, VA in 2012.   I rode down with Kev M. (who was between Guzzis) on his Harley, and his wife, Jenn on her Duc.    So, our small group was only 33% Guzzi.

My son and I went to that one. I was on my Breva 1100 and he was on his Suzuki SV650S. So, my even smaller group was 50% Guzzi.

 Yep . Heck , we have at least one Harley and (gasp) one BMW coming to the Okie this weekend . The riders of those two off brands are some of my favorite people

It's an open forum, and we're made aware of a means to contribute our financial support, and every once in a blue moon encouraged to do so, but beyond "Hey, I wanna be on the forum!!!" followed shortly by access....there's no actual "Membership?"

 We have periodically floated the idea of hoodies and T's with the WG logo , and it is a great idea that doesn't seem to generate a lot of interest . Maybe we should reconsider , Christmas isn't that far away .

Someone would have to foot the bill.  That's the problem.  Same for the sponsoring the National Rally.  The Oregon state club is strong and has their own funds as a club to do that kind of sponsoring.  Hard to have that kind involvement from other MGNOC state clubs.
