Back in the Fold with a Breva V1100

After a long hiatus I'm back chasing a Goose. 2007 with only 2800 miles.  Any info regarding this series of Guzzi's please share

Just like my B1100. You should check the fuel filter in the tank to make sure you have an all metal one fitted, the half plastic filter melt from the ethanol and gum the works up. I cannot remember the BMW and Wix filters part #'s right off hand, someone will probably chime in.

Also the startus interuptus(spl) fix, there is a long thread on this fix.

I did both these items on my 2007 Breva I bought new when I did the 500 mile service and never had a problem. The original/PO of my current 2006 bike did these from new and I have never experienced a problem with the bike with over 15,000 on the clock.

IIRC the sidestand bolts loosened on a number of those until they were Loctited and installed with a star or split washer.

Great looking bike. (looks exactly like mine) I will say that my 06 has been the absolute best bike I have ever owned, never mind the best Moto Guzzi I have ever owned. I now have over 55,000 miles on mine. I did the whole startus interuptus thing to my bike with no real benifit. Keeping a well maintained AGM battery has been the ticket for me. I have a Mistrel exhaust and Y-pipe and am running with a mild Guzzitech ECU reflash that has completely eliminated poping on deceleration and pinging at low engine speed moderate load. I strongly recommend you get setup with the GuzziDiag and make the throttle body balance a regular maintenance routine.
My only complaint about the bike is the lack of a descent wind screen. I do have the factory supplied one but I only use it on long road trips to take the weight off my chest. the rest of the time I run without it because the buffeting that comes of it is annoying. If you look around here though I think some others have had some success with some after-market wind screens.
