The Turf Paradise horse track is the home to the Scottsdale, Arizona flat track motorcycle races.

There was a full crowd.  That's nice to see.  It reached 100 degrees, but never felt too bad.

Lining up for the final race.

There was never much doubt that Bryan Smith would win the race.  That’s him way, way out front.

After the races are over, looking back at the open grandstand.  There’s a similar sized, but enclosed grandstand to the left (out of the picture).

Bryan Smith being interviewed.

Hard and sandy.  The existing dirt that the horses run on was removed (expect the Oklahoma City Mile to be similar).

How did the Duck do?  Maybe they don't go west that far.

These guys put on an awesome show and only two miles from my house.  Very well run program.

How did the Duck do?  Maybe they don't go west that far.

They'd have been happy to be there (the last time the series was in AZ, they won with Joe Kopp riding), but Johnny Lewis's wife Alysha is expecting their second child any day, now.  Priorities.

Realistically, though, nobody was going to catch #42.

btw, until that company helps support the bike that they're even selling a version of (and making a clear advertising reference to) it shall remain an LBM L-twin.
