Gerbing Glove confusion (& Venture Glove query)

I'm after some heated gloves for this southern winter and have given myself brain strain over the following.

I understand that "Gerbing" sold out and are now being re-branded as "Gyde by Gerbing"/"Gyde Supply Co".

I also understand that Gordon Gerbing has re-started making heated gloves under "Gordons".

But there is also a "Gerbing" European site that has different gloves/products to either of the others.

Is the european Gerbing the same as Gyde, or is it a third company in it's own right?
Reason I ask, there's no local distributor for any of the "gerbing" varieties in Oz, so I have to order online and would prefer to do so from the more reputable/quality company.

Which brings me to my next question....
Does anyone have any experience with Venture Gloves.
They are available in Oz direct from Zarkie (and seem to be the only brand locally available).

Craig, there was a thread recently about charging on one of the V7 variants, and problems caused by electric gloves.

Unsure of the specifics as it did not apply to me, but I think Kev M. has detailed knowledge of the problem.

Interesting split.  Gyde still seems to own the Gerbing patent on microwire, but without Gordon.  Also seems like all the model names have changed.  I'll bet there were some interesting conversations behind the scenes.

I like my Gerbing gloves.  Not sure what I will do when I have to replace them.

I have used the Gerbing and had nothing but problems. I was never sure if they were going to work on any given day. I went to Sedici heated gloves that have a built in controler with three heat ranges and have had no problems. They were considerably less expensive than the Gerbing since a separate controller was not required. They also have a handy idiot light in the glove that lets you visually see what setting you are at, and that they are working.

i have just taken receipt of a pair of Venture battery heated gloves ordered from Zarkie.  I have found their service excellent.  When I ordered I used their sizing chart to determine fit and chose size large, being on the cusp of large/medium and thinking it would not hurt to have a bit of extra room for a pair of glove liners as added insulation.  As it turned out the large size felt comfortable but was too long in the fingers for me.  They had no problem exchanging the gloves medium for large - I sent back the gloves and they mailed back the mediums without any postage charge to me.  The mediums are a better fit but do feel more restrictive in terms of finger curl.  I imagine as they wear in that will not be an issue.  I also will order a second set of batteries which will come along on rides for such times as I require extended periods of warmth.  I have not used them in anger as yet however reviews looked good, even one written by someone local to you from around Canberra way!

They look to be the same ones as Venture (with a slightly different looking switch).

Take a look at warm n safe.  They make a great product and I have used them for over 20 years.  Mike the owner stands behind his product 100%.  His gloves work great along with his heated liner, pants, socks or just by themselves.   Mike also is a rider and uses what he sells.

Battery vs plug in.

Battery is convenient, but, I've had many rides where I needed the heated gloves for most of a day.  Batteries are only good for a couple of hours on high.
